So we've been told. :)

How odd that he's willing to send us to hell simply for not believing in him.

Do you know what love is?
I have a son so I'm perfectly aware of what 'tough love' is. When I punish my son, it's so that he knows whatever choice will bring bad consequences but there's always a next time to choose differently. I do not punish him eternally. On the other hand, my understanding is that Jesus will send you to an eternal punishment, should you choose to be rational, and since the God side will kill you for whatever reason (read the Old Testament), there's no guarantee that a person will be convinced in a deity there's no reliable proof of before they die.
So, eternal punishment= love?

The problem I have with that is this: He is supposed to love me, and yet he seems, according to the Christians I have talked to, quite vindictive. He sends to hell all who do not believe in him, whether they have the chance to know him or not. He sends to hell all those that cannot believe in him for whatever reasons, such as growing up in a family that does not believe or in a family that is of a different religion. He takes nothing into account. The only basis by which he judges is on whether one believes or not.

No, I can't say that I know that Jesus loves me if this is the kind of Jesus that Christians believe in. However, saying that, I must also say that I believe very strongly that what he said is true: love your neighbor as yourself.

If god loves people as much as people can love, then he won't send anyone to hell on the simple grounds of disbelief.

Are you aware that, just because Santa doesn't bring you presents anymore, he still loves you and thinks you're a pretty good kid? He understands that there comes a point when rationality has to set in.

Do you have any idea how condescending your statement is?

(BTW This is not a question, but clearly a statement.)

If he loves me so much, where is my:

Mercedes Benz
Color TV
Night On The Town

Huh? And agreed, if he loves me so much why is he all ready to send me to hell or not take ALL good people to heaven when the Earth "supposedly" ends.
He is just a hypocrite.

I'm afraid that they cannot know this until they have heard the Gospel, receive the Holy Spirit and come in faith to baptism. Remember that faith comes by hearing the proclamation of Christ (Rm 10.17). As Christians we desire that all men may come to know Christ's love for them, but until we carry the good news to them they will remain lost.

They don't believe in Jesus so how could they possibly know that he loves them!

Jesus? Who am I trying to gain love from? God or jesus? Is there a difference? Who should I care for? I just stopped believing in religion. I don't think god wants us to waste our life worshiping him, he wants us to live!

God loves you ,but to me Jesus is not God or the son of God.He was a remarkable man that was mighty good.To me it does not matter anyway. To me God dwells within one self and all around. i talk to him all the time and he answers me.He keeps me on the right course of selfless love towards others and himself

I'm quite busy at the moment so I'll keep it brief. There is no such thing as Jesus, God and all that jazz.
