mybrainhurts is correct, the official site is https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ You can get free credit reports from the three major credit bureaus there. Equifax and Experian will come up on your computer screen. TransUnion you have to request by mail. These free reports do NOT include your credit score / number.

You are entitled to a free credit report once a year. So request one from each of the big 3 at 4 month intervals - that way you can keep on top of fraud before your 12 months is up.
