...from Genesis 6.
Wouldn't that be like the Jurassic Park for believers?
I mean how cool is that? It is way cooler than dinosaurs!
And it would make money.
I wish someone could call Mel Gibson.

The Biblical story that demons had babies with human women and created giants is an embarrasment to Christians.

The account in Genesis 6 tells of the Nephilim.

It is an interesting part of Scripture. Actually, the Nephilim are THOUGHT to identify with the sons of god who came down to earth out of lust for human women, but I don't recall this being specifically identified in Scripture. Then again, I've been in the epistles and prophetic books mostly, so I may have missed it.

Some would say that the Nephilim can be identified with lesser-evolved forms of mankind. I don't necessarily agree with this, but I remember hearing an interpretation of "Eaters of the Dead" (in the movie, "The 13th Warrior") along these lines.

I love the fact that people try to call the sons of god demons when it is clear they were angels.

I see a sort of Conan type movie where the buff hero, played by me, slays the giants and rescues the scantily clad princess, played by Rachel Weisz. Helllloooooo Oscar!

There have been a handful...really bad fantasy films.

There were no nephilim. It was a pseudo-tale to explain why people from other regions were different looking. If a modern man were to appear back in the time the Bible was written down, they would be accused of being "Nephilim".

to above answerer: Its not an embarassment to Christians because its the truth, this shows that the bible does not show stories that are only nice stuff but shows stories that really happened, bad or good...it is not biased.

Anyway, those angels who materialized as men did have sons who are incapable to reproduce and since they cannot make a race of their own, they showed their might be becoming bullies of men...they were seen by God as an abomination but for the wicked people they were heroes.

That's a nice movie topic...submit it to the producers and writers they might buy it =D

Have you seen the British series Hex?

The only movie I can think of that even mentions Nephilim (I think it does) is the wonderful Dogma (one of the best takes on Judeo Christian silliness I have ever seen)

But as to why nobody has thought of it, I don't know I'm afraid!
