Can U.S. navy deployed members get their U.S. citizenship while on a ship? Specifically aircraft carriers? Or do they have to wait until they come back?

that's a tough question. I didn't know that a non US citizen could serve in the US armed forces. I thought the taking of the oath for citizenship consisted of "I swear to uphold the constitution of the United States".

If you are aboard a Navy ship you are on American soil so to speak. Ask the JAG officer on the ship for help.
