This has happened to me several times. and I was always curious if this has a scientific expalantion.
It's like having a paralizing "dream" but I'm awake. I can hear, feel and hear evrything around me, but I can't move or speak. I feel as if a part of me is leaving my body, an intense energy that sometimes can cause certain pain.
Can somebody explain this to me?

In my part of the world, what you are experiencing is called "the Hag". It is a condition where you are half awake and half asleep...the problem is that you can't wake all the way up. It is not uncommon to cry out, which usually alerts the person next to you, as well as scaring them half to death. I don't know if there is a medical term for it, but my doctor has explained it by saying that part of your conscious becomes alert while your heart rate and circulation are still in sleep mode. It usually only take for someone to touch you to bring you out of it.

Are you uncomfortable, or do you find it rather pleasant- if not for the concern about what's "wrong"? If it's not unpleasant, it's possible you have a very strong "psychic sense" and can release your mind to go to a deeper level. That's a state of mind I have to really work to get into for my hypnosis.
If you're feeling pain or sickness- you'd best see a doctor because it's too abstract to diagnose. It could be anything from hypoglycemia to a neurological problem.

You may be having seizures. You should really go and see a doctor...

Absence seizures (petit mal) are brief and may consist of only a short cessation of physical movement and loss of attention. They may even pass unnoticed by others. Small children may simply appear to be staring or walking distractedly.

Petit mal may be confused with simple or complex partial seizures. In petit mal, however, a person loses consciousness and may experience attacks as often as 50 to 100 times a day. About 25% of patients with petit mal develop grand mal seizures.

If you were having a seizure you would not be aware, and you would feel tired and disoriented afterward most likely. It sounds to me as if you are having panic attacks. You might consider seeking a medical opinion, especially if it is happening with increasing frequency. It would be interesting for you to perhaps evaluate what you were doing just before these episodes occur.

I dont know if there is a name. i have the same problem. it often gets me in trouble with people that i have important conversations with. I call it a "zone out" cause it's like my vision goes blur, and i'm as stiff as a board and, i can hear the person talking to me and can feel them when they touch me. but the only thing i have been able to do is grin and bare it.

Could be somthing called dissociation. In psychology, it is where the mind and body split. Many people say they experience themselves "floating above them," or "outside their body." And that they experience all sights, sounds, etc, but they do not seem to feel it.

See a doctor or a psychologist.

yes- it's a known condition, called sleep paralysis. we don't know much about what causes it, but almost all authorities claim it's not serious. it may have something to do with activation of inhibitory neurons in the brain or spinal cord.

it doesn't sound like a seizure at all BTW.
