how do i know when i have split ends on the end of my hair.so i know when to go to the hair dressers

Split ends are when a strand of hair splits into 2! You shouldn't go to the hairdressers when you have them as you will have to have more hair cut off to get rid of them. It is best to get your hair cut regularly to prevent them in the first place, and depending on the length and style of your hair it is best to go every 4-8 weeks!!

put a strand of hair between ur two fingers and run them down towards the end...stop about 2 inches from the end? does it have a flat edge or does it look like a fan? if it look like a fan, then they are split ends, if it has a flat edges that you dont have split ends

just hold up a small chunk of your hair (i'm assuming its long) and look closely at it. If your hair does have split ends you will be able to see the strands that are split ...they look like y's

If you look closely at the ends of your hair you can see the pieces of you hair split. Seriously you just have to look closely its easy!

u need a hair trim at least every two months reguardless whether u get split ends or not but if u get them u will know it they make your hair kinda frizzy at the ends

You go to the salon and the hair dresser will tell you. But if you look closely you can see it. If your hair is too short for you to look yourself ask a friend to look for you.
