Wendy's is a fast food restaurant known for their square burgers, frosties and fries. They also have fairly good fast food salads. The burgers are square because they are made fresh rather than from frozen patties like most other fast food burgers.

He took that to heart in his business and burgers.

It's their gimmick. That way the meat flops out of the bun - looks like there's an over-abundance of beef (where's the beef? there it is!).
