Maid of Honor is the title and position held by the bride's chief attendant, typically her closest friend or sister. If married, the title Matron of Honor is used. Who ever is going to be your "chef attendant" is to be escorted by the best man. However a maid of honor and a matron of honor are the same thing just one is married the other isnt {matron is married}. Decide which is more important or closest to you and they walk with the best man.

I'm not sure how traditional this is, but the best man would escort the matron of honor (who's already married, from the way you wrote the question) and the usher next in line would escort the maid of honor. When in doubt, primacy goes to the person who IS already married or has been married.

I'm assuming based on your wording that there is only one best man. There are two possibilities for you depending on how many groomsmen and bridesmaids you have.

If the number of groomsmen is equal to the number of bridesmaids than have the best man escort both the matron of honour and the maid of honour. However, if there is a groomsmen extra that could escort the maid of honour, have him do so and have the best man escort just the matron of honour. Hope this helps and happy planning

Having both does not make sense.

You have 2 Maids of honor? The only reason you call her "matron" is because she is married, she still counts as your MAID of honor. I guess your fiance needs 2 best men.

The best man should already be up at the front with the Groom. He is the Matron of Honors partner though.

Matron of Honor...she is the head of all the Bridesmaids and her place is next to the bride as the best man's is to the groom

It is unfair to have both a Matron of Honour (she is married) and a Maid of Honour (she is NOT married). If you cannot decide on one or the other then pick someone completely different. My friend was my MofH then she asked me to be her MaofH. She had a maid on the side and i told her "hey i love you but you can have her as you MofH. I dont want to share." You may think thats mean or snotty but its how i felt. Sit down with your ladies. Talk with them about this. And whomever you decide..walks with the Bestman.

They walk in by themselves as the best man will already be at the alter with the groom and then have the best man escort both of them at the same time at the end of the ceremony as you are exiting. At the reception site, he can escort them both in. Simple.

whichever one will be standing closest to you. You could always have them both walk with the best man if you think one will get her feelings hurt and just have 2 men walk with one bridesmaid so that it will even out. It is your wedding you dont have to follow any "rules"
