No. The creative "days" were indeterminate in length such as when you say that something occurred in your grandfathers "day". God is from everlasting to everlasting(Psalm 90:2) Why would he limit himself with time constraints in creating this glorious universe? After each of 6 creative "days" the book of Genesis says that there was evening and morning, a first day, second etc. .However, this statement is not made regarding the seventh day, on which God proceeded to rest, indicating that it continued. (Genesis 2:1-3) Also, more than 4,000 years after the seventh day, or God’s rest day, commenced, Paul indicated that it was still in progress. At Hebrews 4:1-11 he referred to the earlier words of David (Psalm 95:7, 8, 11) and to Genesis 2:2 and urged: “Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest.” By the apostle’s time, the seventh day had been continuing for thousands of years and still continued. Also note that Genesis 2:4 refers to ALL the creative periods as one day.

properly the Bible says God made the grass formerly the sunlight. If daily replaced into one thousand years, how did the grass stay that long with out image voltaic?[a million] additionally, in case you're questioning the huge Bang concept would desire to extra healthful with Genesis, how then does that artwork simply by fact the birds have been made the comparable time simply by fact the sea creatures, the two formerly land animals?[2] And on condition that it exceedingly calls the easy day and darkness evening, 24 hour days would desire to have began while the sunlight replaced into created in day 4, leaving not extra then 2 24 hour classes for an evolution theory to artwork. and ultimately, the verse does not say an afternoon is almost one thousand years in simple terms, however the opposite as properly, that one thousand years is as an afternoon. it may as a result not seem illustrating a time theory yet fairly how God perspectives time.

you're getting closer, it took 6,000 years for each Day of creation--therefore, does it not work out that we are coming toward the end very quickly now?--we don't have a Lot of time left, now--notice how quickly that the bad stuff is getting Really bad, excuse the grammar please--but,I mean VERY bad, and if you're not noticing, then you ALL must be spaced out, escaping from reality, so to speak.

We are still dwelling in Our Creator's 7th DAY, the last 6,000 + years--ok boo me, i can take it. Reason it out,---Jesus was 33 and 1/2 when he was sacrificed and since Jesus was the perfect and last Adam, it may be that Adam was 33 and 1/2 when he was ousted from paradise and therefore lost hiseverlasting perfect life

-Adam lost his everlasting life 33 and 1/2 years into the 7th Day, the last 6,000+yrs. And he lost it in God's Rest Day.

Satan's gang, his fallen angels, the Demons of this system are out in full force, deceptively enticing All those who fall prey to this Awfullness---there are at least 100,000,000 (that's 100million), they could be your neighbours, but as long as you are under God's Great Wings of protection, they can not hurt you. So be good.

A lot of people ask that question. Whether you believe the answer to your question is 'yes' or 'no' is really a matter of your own faith, but I would like to point out one often overlooked fact: the verse that "thousand years" quote is from goes on to say "and a day is like a thousand years [to God]."

In other words, like the previous poster said, God is simply outside time. Any effort to place any sort of concept of "God" within limits of time is self-defeating.

To expound just a tad bit more, I'd recommend reading Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time," or any essay on the subject of space/time, in order to understand why "God" cannot exist within "Time".

No, you only read half of the verse. It also says a 1000 years is as one day. That would mean that He created the universe in 6/1000's of a day.

No one will ever be able to compare time to eternity. Buyt good question cause believe it or not I said that same thing, but not the very same. I said since God isn't in time who's to say one day was 24 hours to God. He not on a time table.

Actually, the quote is "A thousand years are like but unto a moment (second) to God." Do the math on that one. YBIC
