Good question. Probably not unless they are directly affected in some way (crime, murder, identity theft).. politicians don't care.. they aren't the ones being affected by them ..they will always have money..they won't have to worry about whether there will be enough social security when they need it or anything..Maybe if they or someone in their family gets hurt by them maybe they will start cracking down and securing the border..

Our politicians just want the dollars,its so complicated at this point ,all the big buisness count on illegals to work for them and even buy there products,Walmart,Disney,Wells fargo,Anhuiseur Bush and so many more want illegas here,so they can get richer,They dont care about the country or the citizens.

Yes they will because it is getting to the point where if they don't take a stand they will be voted out of office. We have the power in the US it is just a matter of putting that power to work. I have seen Ca. gov. Arnold back down on support for the illegals on a couple of occasions due to the public out cry. I have sent out emails to him the last 2 days to show that I don't support his stance on providing health care to illegals and anchor babies and if he doesn't hear my voice I will not vote for him again.
The citizens need to make their voice heard and not just on Answers but with the idiots running the funny farm.

It really makes one wonder, doesn't it? I feel that the politicians are too greedy and they forget that it is "the people" whom they work for because they get more money in their own pockets by listening to the business lobbyists who want illegals here for their own benefit. What citizens have to do is remember to vote in the next election and ensure that they do not vote for reps who are showing support for illegal immigration and, in the meantime, making sure their feelings are known by writing to the representatives in their states and cities.

Not until we vote the politicians currently in power out to the street. My plan is this. Detain all illegals. Pay them minimum wage in pesos and have them build the wall. Once the wall is completed, throw the workers over it and let Mexico deal with them. Vote for me in 2008. It's time do clean house.

I think that in time we will find that the Mexicans coming into the USA with out permission is just a tiny bit of what is really going on
read up about what is happening in Europe see the huge massive riots and demonstrations that are going on because of immigration . the EU has made laws that allow people to just up and move from there home to some other nation and no one is supposed to interfere.
this is all part of something much much larger really this is part Of the development of the one world government .
learn about that and you will really be considered when you find out who will be the leader of this one world wide government.

I hope they will but I'm not holding my breath. Congress is looking out for themselves. Some got scared during the last election but we need to throw all the bums in congress out if they don't listen to us - especially the old timers like Teddy Kennedy. If congress won't enforce our laws, they are as bad as the ones that are breaking them (e.g., illegal alien criminals, employers who hire illegal alien criminals)

We are the "employers" of the bums in congress. If an employee doesn't do their job, you fire them. Fire all members of congress if they don't do their job.

If they haven't yet, even at the risk of terrorists strolling into the US, what will make them-if everyone wrote to their rep's and said they won't vote for them, maybe that might help. The case of our 2 border patrols getting thrown in jail for doing an heroic job points to other interests having ALOT of pull. Look at Arnie Swartz-either he's being threatened or is out of his mind.
