if you ever talk about something fortunate that happened to you, people think you're bragging? Why can't people be happy for you if you share with them about good fortune?

In this day and age you have to be Really, really, careful on how you say your good deed/fortune to someone or their jealousy will explode in your face. Thats culture, in a world where the honor roll is being eliminated from schools cause students feel bad when they are not on it, everyone is trying not to make others feel bad. Its so silly and you have to plan out exactly how you say it to some people.

Anyway, since you brought this up, any good fortune happen lately, I promise I won't get mad at you for sharing. ^_^

Maybe it's the way you present your good fortunes? In communication there's always at least 2 sides and often more. What you say is not always what someone else hears or preceives. So perhaps what you're trying to get across is not what the other person is hearing... but it may be that reguardless of how you try to communicate it, it will be taken wrong..

pay attention to your audience...if they look bored, they don't care about what your saying, but if you keep talking, then you don't care about what they're feeling.
