Answers: 1- IQ is not accepted …why? Because we see people with low IQ are Atheist and visa versa

I think it is probably their individual ability to deal with the thought of death.

MIND... I'd thought about this all of my life for as long as I could think rationally and logically... about the time I started going to school, questioning the answers, so I'm WAY beyond a "moment" of thinking on this.

You're picking and choosing what you will "accept" based on narrow, illogical thinking, but I hate to break it to you... the mind functions in tandem with the brain, which has ability (or not) to process information and learn (IQ) therefore BOTH are needed to choose ANYTHING, or not. Meditate on that for a few years and prove the Buddha wrong. I dare you.

Atheists started the enlightenment and sparked rational thought. Religion wanted to supress the people in order to control them . Out of logic, the supernatural is considered jibberish during the era and because they ignored religions were able to progress and discover the universe in a new way. The free will in thinking helped us become what we are today! The search for a rational and true concept of the universe is what influences everyone into a religion/atheism. How does being logical lower your I.Q?

I think we may choose with our pride for one thing. Someone not willing to admitt they dont know everything might not accept any religion, those who know they do not know everything, may accept a religion. Also, someone who might think their opinion is the most important wont read past something that challenges their opnion, they just call it false and walk away. Someone who thinks that their opinion is one of many valid ones, will probably take the opportunity to see the others side.

I really think there are many reasons, but for me, pride seems to be in the forefront.

Two rational geniuses would both refuse this religion. Rational thoughts are based on facts, which are based in reality. Of the 4200 religions on the earth, virtually all of us reject virtually all of these religions.

If one genius was irrational (possible) he may decide to believe in something in which he has no evidence, proof, or reason to believe. You can't explain irrational behavior.

Most of us "choose" our religion like people "choose to join" a cult. It's mostly a process of slow indoctrination over the years/decades. (Cults are necessarily a bit faster in their methods than religion.)

do I honestly could %. basically one?? extremely out of your descriptions i might want to probable say the Klines and the Coles. basically reason i'm no longer an outdoors, events human being. yet on action picture nighttime i'd pick the Bennets. all of them seem helpful and the keatings were helpful by way of coming to welcome me to the community. Now i'm getting going to church daily... as a catholic, I honestly have attended on a daily basis mass (no longer daily yet each so often two times a week....) in spite of the undeniable fact that it truly is no longer about being concentrated on the life thereafter.... i imagine that could get somewhat weird and wonderful after a lengthy time period. we could continuously be living even as we are right here..

The heart.
The Bible talks about people with hardened hearts against God.

I would venture to call this pride as well. The pride of believing that you know more, the pride that says, I don't need God. vs. the ability to admit that no matter how smart you are, there is more that you don't know, and that you can't fully navigate life with complete success. (humility)

I believe that you can be raised all around religion as a child you are pounded with this is what is. As one ages and feels the need to search for answers to questions that lye within the person. you search to be satisfied the need to know something pulling you to seek more. the person can only truly convince themselves of their own belief

For me it was easy. I had a disease that i didnt tell anyone about, one that was hidden. And one day a lady told me, God told me to pray for you, and heal your disease. This is a true story. And since then, I havent let go of God. How wonderful and merciful the Lord is!
