change view of all folders from "Tiles' to "Icons"?

Question

I reformatted my Dell Dimension 2400 and now all the icons in all the folders are displayed as "Tiles" instead of "Icons"

i can go to the file thing and change each one but i have a ton of music folders by artist so how do i switch them all at once?

there's got to be a master setting somewhere for this

customize a(any) folder completely & go tools>folder options>view(tab)>apply to all folders

If you are using WinXP, go to Windows Explorer and change the view setting to the type of folder you want. Then go to Tools and click on folder options. You can set all folders the same way as the one you are viewing.

on the upper right side of the top of the window there should be a little box that looks like a miniture web page. its called VIEWS if you hover over it. once you click on that it gives you the list...
icons, list, details, thumbnails.... choose the one you want. IF it reverses... select it again.. but that should solve it.
Individual folders may have to be reset. I dont know if one click will change everything in all folders..

above where your files are in documents,theres a square that's next to search,folders,then theres a drop down next to the square with six little squares,click it and you will have a list of ways to display you files.
