The best on-time performances for 2006 were on airlines that don't fly coast to coast:

Hawaii
Aloha
Frontier Airlines
Southwest
Alaska

United has on-time stats of around 85%. Delta is the worst.

Airlines have very little control if a delay happens.

It happens, if your delayed, so be it. Nothing worse than watching those airport shows with all those people complaining that they are delayed.

You have to be prepaied for it
