Hang in there! Is he a big child for his age? My son is, he crawled, but is still not walking. Babies develop at their own rate of speed. He'll catch up, don't worry.

My first son never did crawl, just went straight to walking. My son also seemed advanced in every other milestone and I was a little concerned that he did not crawl when I "thought" he should. But when he was 9 months old he went straight to walking. A friend was holding him and became distracted and just stood him on the floor and kept talking. I was watching this across the room and started to run toward my son, certain he was going to fall. But, to my astonishment, he just started walking. He took about 15 steps straight towards me and has been walking every since. He was about 1 1/2 before he ever really got the concept of crawling though. I think it is really to early to start worrying and I am sure he will make some progress very soon. Good luck.

No...all children develop differently...my oldest son didin't start walking until after his first birthday, my youngest walked by the time he was 9 months...both are happy, healthy children and that is the only thing you should be concerned about. Let things happened at your child's own pace and don't fall prey to all the silly mommy competitive talk (my child started walking when he was 6 months old and can recite the entire alphabet at 14 months....blah, blah, blah....uggghhhhh). It is just ridiculous and if worry about keeping up with little miss perfect mommy, you are missing out on something much more important....the individual that your child is. As long as you are providing for his needs and he seems happy & healthy, then sit back and enjoy...don't be in a hurry to rush them to the next phase of development, because it really does fly by way too fast. I have a 14 year old and a 2 year old and I wish I had spent more time focusing on the just being with my child and less on trying to make him a super baby....at 14 I realize that I missed out on a lot of precious moments because of this obsessing and that I only have 4 more years with my buddy before he goes off to college.....let your child grow at his own pace and concetrate on loving every minute of it before that time is gone!

That is a bit late, babies usually learn to crawl around 5-7 months. But I wouldn't be too worried yet. Some learn earlier and some later. Give it a month or so.

My eldest daughter did everything by the book. My youngest is a year and two months and has just started to sit up, she doesn't crawl, she drags herself accross the floor, but it's sooo cute! Don't be worried, I was to begin with but now I realise they do it when they are good and ready.
AS For Mr Incredible and grannyspusssy who answered yur question, ignore them. Unfrtunately there are a lot of idiots who cme on here with the intention of upsetting others.

My kids didn't crawl until they were 10 months old. My older son didn't walk until 16 months and my younger one was 13 months. Kids meet milestones at different times. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

No don't worry he is a boy . boys take longer to do things. Stop calling him a creep . you name things in your sons life when you call them out of you mouth. He is a baby and he is depending on you to do for him. Just love him and be thankful that he is not crawling Right now . Because when he starts he will be into every thing.

My daughter didn't crawl either... Pretty much went straight to walking, at 13 months. Don't worry! Every kid is different... It will drive you crazy trying to compare your child with what everyone else says is normal... relax! He'll grow up to be a track star one day, you watch.

No, do not be worried. Everything else seems to be in check, and he's probably going to be one of those babies who doesn't crawl for very long until they start walking. This is normal, so no worries!
