I usually get burning pain in my right shoulder that goes up that side of my neck which also causes mild headaches. It only happens when I do repetative movements....typing, writing, painting..etc. It especially burns when I lean my head forward.

Does anyone else have this or experienced this? What exactly causes this pain, nerves? muscle?

That area does feel very tense and massages help a little.

Sounds like tension headaches. You could be straining your muscles AND nerves. You should talk to your doctor, headaches suck.

I have exactly the same issue....my dr. diagnosed me with tendonitis in my shoulder. The only solution is time...and to do as little of the reptative motion as possible. I had a cortizone shot in my shoulder about a month ago..but it didn't do any good....I alternate heat/cold in the evenings...and take ibuprofen...that seems to help some. If you don't find relief from the ibuprofen, you may need to see an orthopedic dr. They would probably perscribe you an anti-inflammatory that would help the healing process....I take Relefan.

I was off work for 10 days at Christmas time...seemed to really help..but started bothering me again the first day back to the office.....

Good Luck...it's hurts...I know...and it sucks!!!
