A gift certificate to her favourite restaurant might be appreciated. Not only will it give her and her new hubby a night out, but she won't have to cook that night either.

There are several things that would be appropriate (though somewhat generic since I am not sure what your mother-in-law and her husband's interests are). A nice photo album or a set of fancy picture frames would be nice, somewhere to display their wedding photos. A quality throw blanket is nice, a set of wine/champagne glasses (maybe a bottle of wine or champagne as well, though I am not sure if you're allowed to ship alcohol?), or a gift certificate to a restaurant would also be good.

A fun gift is a clock with thier picture in it. You just go to Walmart, or Target or something, and get one of thier $5 clocks. Take the back out, and the plain circle with the numbers.Trace it onto the picture, cut the picture in the circle shape, and add on the numbers with a permanent marker. Put the picture circle in the place of the plain circle, replace the back of the clock, and walla! You've got a great, personal gift that you put a lot of thought into. :)
(you have to take the hands off too, but just put them back the way they were.)

Put together a wedding album for her. Collect pictures from friends and family that she may not have. You can either be crafty and make it like a scrapbook (I did this for my grandparents with their old pics) or you can buy a nice album and keep it simple. This shouldn't cost too much and would really mean a lot that you put time in to it. It's something they can look back at years from now and still appreciate

Bed bath and beyond has a lot of useful small appliances for around $50. Even a just a gift card for there is awesome. They have everything a newlywed could possibly need.

A basket with a romantic CD, a bottle of wine, some candles, maybe some chocolate covered strawberries and some bath oils. That would make for a nice romantic night for them.

you're questioning too not hassle-free about it. She probable wasn't questioning about her son being grew to grow to be on on the time. each person supplies wedding ceremony presents like that and he or she also gave you some commonplace ones...it would want to've been a funny tale.

get one of your wedding pictures and put it in a really pretty frame. You can find one for not a lot of money and it is something that she can appreciate. If you had family pictures with them in it you could put one of those in a frame for her also.

Check out Thingsrememered.com or they have stores in most malls. Someone got us this really sweet frame with the date & our names engraved in it. I'm sure it was less than $50- so it's something to consider.
