Language evolves with the culture it is present in. The British culture is not the same as the American, obviously. English is a mess as it is, being a mix of Latin, French, German, and other languages. I'm pretty sure that if noble Elizabethans heard your spoken English, no matter how grammatically perfect it is today, they would be horrified. Things change with time and things will be much different when an ocean seperates them. I recommend you read "The Language Instinct" by Dr. Steven Pinker (who by the way is Canadian and they have a reputation of speaking "good" English); it explains the evolultion of language and its ability to morph as humans adapt through time.

The founding fathers never included English as the official language because they were feed up with the English at the time. I think it was a big mistake or oversight. Now we have a real problem. Don't expect the globalists to fix the problem they are making it harder to communicate in the U.S. Try going to any town on the Mexican border and you will see.

There are many specific characteristics of America that the country should not be proud of, but the adaptation and modification of the English language is not one of them. Before you decide to insult another country without a proper reason, try setting an example first. Believe me, it will guarantee you better results. I am referring to your misuse of the word "device." The word you are looking for is "devise." Hypocrisy is usually frowned upon by those sensible enough to notice it. Apparently you are not receptive enough to fall into that category. Also, take into consideration the fact that the world needs unification and that cultural resentment will get us nowhere beneficial.

English has always absorbed vocabulary from other languages like a sponge and it's no surprise that geographic isolation would lead to differences between American and British English. These changes enrich, not pollute, the language.

They aren't making a mess, if you look at the world map of education I think that most of the counteries speak English. It is the international business language and New York was called New Amsterdam when America was Dutch.

I agree. Just look at your own question.
When will the U.S.A. device there own language and stop making a mess of the English language.?
devise, NOT device
their, NOT there
USA is a nation, a singular entity--->You can't use "their" here. Use "its" or "her"....

Don't know, as a device is a bit of kit, an implement, a tool.
Looks like you need a device to help you use the English language that you use, or perhaps you are devising a new one!!!

We are devising our own language, based on English. Or more appropriately, English is evolving everywhere it's spoken or written. Every new piece of slang, each usage adaptation, and every error takes us all a little farther from the language you just butchered in your question.

For your edification, "devise" is a verb, and "device" is a noun. "Their" is a possessive pronoun, and "there" is an adverb used for place reference.

Well, if you think about it, we don't really speak English, we speak the American dialect of English. Some people have even gone so far as to say that American is our language, and it is just based off of English.

English is their language. It's not the standard language for the country as a whole.
