You can e-file up to 5 returns when you buy tubo-tax in the store. Each e-filing has an additional fee of 29.99. It also sometimes includes 1 license to e-file a state tax.

You can print as many forms as you like and file them through regular mail.

If you use the software online, one federal and one state e-file license is included. If you go through the IRS site, you can file using turbo tax and other software for free (a basic return). If you choose certain options, they start to charge you for the add-on services. In general if you know some basic info about taxes it's free to prepare the return. (I don't know if they charge you to e-file)

As far as yearly software, you can download the updates from the website when the tax year changes. You may have to see if they charge a fee to upgrade, but most of the software is pretty cheap so you could just buy it each year. It's still cheaper than paying someone to do your return.

The laws change year by year so you can't use 2006 for 2007, but if you mean can you use a 2007 Turbo Tax program to do more then one person's taxes for 2007 then yes.

You can do as many tax forms as you want, just remember to name them something different.

One useful tip is you can use a previous years tax program to "rough" out your taxes for the current year. It will be reasonably close even though the tax laws change.

You can then send in an estimated payment wait until Turbo Tax goes on sale after April 15th.

You can use the software to do as many tax preparation as you like in a given year. But you will need a new license for every tax year.

Also make sure you download the latest update from the vendor's web site before you start. Material changes that could effect your return can happen even as late as mid February.
If there are problems with the software, they will be making updates through-out the year.

Best wishes.

You can do multiple returns (different people) using the same copy of TurboTax. But you need to get a new copy every year, as the tax laws are constantly changing.

every year is setup with differnt rules and allowances so your figure will never be the same with the tax system - you will have to use a new tax program for the new year if you want an accurate report.

It's simpler to simply use their website and pay for the online submission. You have to pay to print the files for every use beyond the first unless you're savvy enough to figure out where to put all the numbers after going through turbotax software.

Absolutley - you can do as many as you like and save the individual data, you need the current year version though since they are specific to tax codes of that year.

Well you need a new update (buy new version) every year with the new forms, but as far as doing multiple filings (for like your family/friends) yes you can do multiple filings within the same year.

No. You have to use a new version each year as tax law changes and forms change each year.
