I've had numerous Chrysler products with LA-series engines, from which the new Hemi was derived. I've never failed to get at least 225,000 miles from each of them before a rebuild was necessary - some much more than that. Stick with regular maintenance, don't abuse it and it will last a long, long time...

I have a 79 chrysler cordoba fully customized but mostly stock engine parts except for mechanical parts which i got pretty cheap..a completely retuned rebuilt carter carb 90 $ a water pump 24 $ new and fuel pump 24 $ new were the only things i replaced besides brakes and tune ups and i had the car 7 years already it does only have 94 k on it though..so chrylser v8s are pretty reliable especially the 318 and 360s

That engine will go much further than 100 k if you change the oil, all filters and change the antifreeze a little quicker than the book suggests. Change the trans. fluid regularly also. The brakes and body will crap out before the motor.

If you take care of any vehicle there shouldn't be any reason why you couldn't run it to at least 150,000 miles if not 200,000. Unless it is just a lemon that breaks constantly.
