I have prayed many times as sincerely as I know how. All I got was silence in return.

I want to know nothing more than the nature of reality. If there was a God, there could not be a more important scientific discovery.

Why are believers OK to here God but non-believers (or those who don't know) not?

And I think I could handle it if the big sky daddy were real and showed itself. Your pastor is in the business of fleecing, and feel good speeches sharpen his sheers.

You assume that a good result of something can only come from some creator being who isn't proven to exist. Buddhism calls a "good result" happening to you as being the fruition of good karmic seeds one has sown in their life and past lives. Get over yourself.
