I've been having some mild stomach problems the last few days, including some rectal itching (it's embarrasing for me to even say that) that isn't constantly present but comes ocaasionally. I'ma clean person and I wash my hands often, keep my home clean etc. so I don't think it's a virus. I can't seem to get to a doctor because I live on a military post where they offer appointments 2 weeks after you really need one. In other words, the system sucks. I haven't changed my diet or anything and I don't have hemmoroids. What else could be causing the problems? Has anyone ever just had intesitinal problems with some occasional itching before?

I may seem like a paranoid nut case, but I have a son under a year old that I want to keep healthy and not pass anything to. We haven't been around anyone who's been really sick, not much more than a cold at most.

Yes. The itching is probably caused by internal hemorrhoids, which do not always burn or bleed. They become more common as we age and many people get them in their teens. All kinds of intestinal disturbances can cause them, some even caused by anxiety (which can also explain your nervous stomach). "Things can get backed up b/c they are moving more slowly through the intestine." Constipation is a good indicator of this. If your stomach problems are not constant, there is no need to worry.

Go ahead and make the appointment. This is not an emergency. Google intestinal problems in the meantime, drink more fluids and increase your fiber intake.

If there is not any severe problems (like parasites or gastric torsion or whatever) check out nutritional alterations. No ice cream. Take out the dairy merchandise first. Don't supply the puppy humans ice cream for the reason that it has plenty of sugar, lactose, and usually plenty of fats (relying at the style) and that would be a perpetrator. Start with a functional, very elementary and impartial nutrition. Try a dry puppy meals that's not "amazing-top class" (that's, prime-protein.) Add a bit cooked rice, perhaps a bit bird. Keep the fats low. If that works, try different additions, like spinach, tomatoes, cooked carrots, perhaps a few vegetable juice. Pasta, flooring red meat. Just check out exclusive matters till you discover whatever OK on your puppy's intestine. And if rubbish-consuming is a continuous obstacle, get her a muzzle. It does not ought to be huge and bulky, only a loop to hold her mouth close sufficient that she are not able to devour except you are taking it off. Usually, a puppy can nonetheless pant and lap via a muzzle, however are not able to chew or devour. My puppy has a amazing-touchy tummy and we now have attempted normally twenty exclusive puppy meals. Some are greater, a few worse. Don't feed canned meals--ugh. That offers her diarrhea each time. See if the nutrition is helping, and if it does not, investigate for allergic reactions subsequent.

I can sympathsize: I have very young nephews, one of whom has had to have surgery and treatments for a sizable tumor. So dirt is a no-no.

It could be nothing major as you say. But you might want to try adding cranberry juice and yogurt to your diet, to see if that clears things up. Research suggests that cranberry juice is good for dealing with a lot of little stomach bugs and urinary tract health problems- including e.coli.

Good luck!

You said you don't have hemorrhoids...I'm assuming you can't SEE any EXTERNAL hemorrhoids right? You could be suffering from INTERNAL hemorroids. They are located higher up in the anus/rectum and would most likely require a doctor's physical exam to determine.
