I seem to have no immune system, and catch endless virus's, bugs, etc. I feel really fed up, and it's making life very difficult.

I had a stroke 43 years ago, when I was born. Does this have anything to do with it ?

Sound's like you need to eat more greens, and fruits that contain antioxidants like blueberries, etc. You could buy a juicer, and read up on what kind of vegi and fruit mixes that you can make to boost your immune system a little. It really does make you feel better.
Also be sure you aren't living with any mold.
Then finally, and most importantly you should talk to your doctor, and read about daily environmental toxins that you may be unaware your living with, and consuming. Also open up your windows in your home at least once a day and let fresh air circulate. Get at least 60 minutes of exercise a day, and maybe drink some aloe vera juice once or twice a day as well.
That's what I would do anyway. :o)
Good luck no matter what, and take care of yourself.

I've never had a stroke, but I have heart problems. I thought that was the cause of my immune deficiency, and never ending illnesses and being tired. I saw infectious disease specialists, immunologists, lots of -ologists! It turned out in the end that I was stressed out and depressed! That's not to say that I wasn't medically ill. The stress actually lowered my immune system, and I felt like crap all the time. I'm on medication now that has made me feel better overall, and it has improved my immunity. Keep in mind, that I'm no doctor, and your situation could be totally different.

In a way, there might be a connection with that stroke. You really need to be talking with a doctor about this.

There could be diabetes, assorted heart and blood pressure problems, or yes, even some kind of immunity problem.

Good luck finding out what's wrong and fixing it!

Lack of energy could be an early sign of anemia, which is essentially a lack of iron in the diet. It happens to new vegetarians who aren't 100% sure how to balance their diet. The symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, and general weakness. What I would suggest would be to make sure you are eating a lot of whole grained foods, like brown bread or brown rice, and dark green leafy vegetables (kale, spinach, chard, that sort of thing). In the same meal as you eat foods high in iron, make sure you are getting vitamin C in any form you like, but fresh fruit is always a tasty desert to follow up a meal with! Maybe you should also look into fortified foods, like fortified soy milk or breakfast cereals. These are usually really good for balancing out a lot of your vitamins. Plus, if you switch to soy milk, it's one less animal cruelty issue to worry about.

I'd definitely see a doctor specifically to address your chronic fatigue and seeming inability to fight off viruses. S/he may run some tests, refer you to another specialist or even to a nutritionist.

Loss of energy and fatigue may also indicate depression. Depression isn't always uncontrollable crying and suicidal threats. It can manifest itself physically long before it registers with you that you might be experiencing depression. Even a hormonal imbalance (ex: during menopause) can trigger it.

There are simple tests you can find both on the Internet and in your doctor's office to determine what level of depression you might be experiencing (if any). Good luck..and don't stop until you find some relief!!

You could have low immuinity. I would take this to your doctor. A stroke that long ago isn't likely to affect the immune system as much as it would affect you nerves, muscle control, and motor/cognative skills. You could also be going through pre-menopause. Make an appointment with your doctor.

I felt like this a few years ago and even gave up my job as I thought it was to much for me. I was found to have an under active thyroid.
But you must go to your doctor and get checked out and make sure you are getting a well balanced diet with plenty of protein.
when I start to get tired now I put myself on a 6 week ginseng course too.
good luck

not likely. Are you sleep deprived? You should be getting between 8-9 hrs sleep a night and should fall asleep about 15 minutes after you go to bed.
Also are you eating a healthy diet and taking regular exercise?
If the answers to all of these are yes then perhaps you should discuss this with your doctor. If not then the answer is in your hands.

You need to go to a doctor and get a physical, and a lab workup. There are many different things causing fatigue and loss of energy, and a weak immune system. You should also go seek mental health...
