It's not uncommon for a man's penis to curve one way or the other. My husband's started out straight. In the last 5 years or so, it's been curved to the left also. It does make for harder insertion, but once in, can't tell that it goes off to one side or the other. It does not make sex any more pleasurable or unpleasurable.
Until it becomes painful for him, I doubt that he will ever go to the doctor for it. Like all men or I assume, he is too embarrassed to go to the doctor, whether it's a man or a woman and have to talk about it.
