My husband has one, he received it from the government in the mail, he was on leave at the end.

I received mine also as I processed out of my final duty station, along with all the other final things you have to do like turning in your active duty ID card.

I got mine before I left the military. I had to go to admin to check to make sure every detail was correct on it. Otherwise it's a pain to fix.

I was presented mine at a Battalion formation upon leaving. Just furtunate that there were awardsgiven out that day.
