Mexico is undergoing a transfromation from an agricultural society to an industrial society. The US did this and had the help of two wars to lessen the population, and it ultimately ended in the Great Depression (which lasted over 10 years and ended with WW2).

I think the fair question would be, if Mexico's economy is in the top 15 in the world, why do the majority of people live in shacks?
"Invaded" is kind of a strong word......

Yes thats very true, the last time I checked, Mexico was first in Latin America, and 13 th world wide, no way does that addup to a 3rd world country. But as I've seen them say on here many times, the money does not go to the poor.

One thing about Mexico is that there is no middle class, either your making it or your not, and all their money is cartel money. Yea, there might be big business there and many factories and all this NAFTA crap, but the Mexican gov't have to report to the cartels. The Mexican gov'y are only puppets, and in the long run the cartels say what is accepted or not. I guess the cartels can be listed as "silent partners", becasue if "anyone" in any type of office in Mexico, tries to go against the cartels, then end up missing, or executed and left in the open as a warning to others. Sad, sad, country.

The issue with Mexico is not its economy (which is fairly strong), its the politics. The government and business keep the money and do not filter it through the general public. And contrary to popular belief, the money sent to Mexico by illegal workers in the U.S. has very little economic impact on Mexico.

holy crap johovan, are you nuts? Your definition of invasion is EXACTLY what is going on and has been for years.
The invasion process is as follows:
1. sneak into the United States while 8 to 9 months pregnant so you can exploit a loophole (that should be closed specifically for this reason) in US law and make your new kid an American citizen.
2. have your baby for free by soaking up American Tax Dollars.
3. Use your baby as an "Anchor" to attempt to justify your illegal presence in the United States.
4 While still in this country illegally, squirt out another 10 anchor babies to make it increasingly harder to get rid of you and collect a bigger check from the country you hate.
When your 12 or so kids reach the age of 15, have all the girls repeat the process outlined in steps 2 - 4. In the next two or three generations you will now have the majority vote in this country and will be able to take over 'without firing a shot'
Just because this is a different type of invasion, does not make it any less of an invasion.
Perhaps you should "Get Real" johovan. It is clear you have no idea what you are talking about.

Mexicos people do not see the money. Their government is so corrupt. Its becoming overrun by drug cartels and the corrupt government. Try living down there and making four dollars a day. Then if you want to come visit the US good luck. You have to have lots of money in the bank. Why do you think people come here illegaly?

Because the Mexican people do not see this money, it stays within their Big Business, their rich and their Government. The same could be said of the US, while their are a lot more opportunities for success here as well as money, why are there so many poor?

Invaded???
Let's see, many of the investors in Mexico are American! So yes, it might be in the top 15, but most of the profit end up in the US.
And Mexicans, are NOT invading!!! For God's sake, do you even know what invasion means???? It means to enter a country as if to take possession or overrun it.
** Little fact for "bereal1": 20 Billion dollars get sent back to Mexico, from people WORKING HERE, in the US. Do you think 20 Billion can improve a country's economy????
**Crazybird; Can you mention a group or person, to prove your point???
**Steve: LOL you crack me up man!
--So I guess we should also say that people having babies in Puerto Rico or an American Plane/Ship should not be granted citizenship.
--Now let's consider this numbers;
Of the total population in the US;
240 Million are Caucasian
44 Million are Hispanic
39 Million are African American
14 Million are Asian
3 million are Native American
It seems to me that it would take many years for the hispanic population to become the majority.
**With a population growth rate of;
-Caucasian: 1.85%
-African-Am: 2.02%
-Asian : 1.90%
-Hispanic : 2.82%
You do the math!
If anybody should be complaining, it should be the Native Americans!!!! They got thrown out of their lands! Massacred to the point of almost complete elimination.
Do some research before you speak, Steve.
Get Real!
