on a PC there is usually a button on or next to the drawer, on a mac there is an eject button on the top right corner of your keyboard

The obvious answer would be to push the button on the CD ROM. But if that isn't working, locate My Computer either on desktop or under STart Menu....
Under My Computer, you will find CD-ROM, right click on this and left click on EJECT. If this doesn't open it, it is likely jammed.
In the event that it is jammed you can insert a paper clip into the small hole you will find on the front of the CD ROM...this is worst case scenario but may be the only way to eject a jammed CD.

If the CD doesn't automatically run, double-left-click the My Computer icon on the desktop and double-left-click the D drive to explore the CD's contents. Each photograph will have its own file. Double-left-click each one to view and press the X in the top-right-hand-side of each window to close each file.

Provided you have a CD-ROM installed in your computer, you should be able to push the button to open it and load your CD.
