never had a serious boyfriend, but im not settling for less then I deserve. I dont need to be with a jerk just to say I have someone. I'm having fun so whats the big deal with people constantly asking if i have a boyfriend?

There is NOTHING wrong with it! Too many girls will date just any jerk because they think having a man defines them. You are young. . . go ahead and just have fun! When the time is right and the right guy comes along. . . you'll know.

There is nothing wrong with being 20 and single, who is telling you there is something wrong? Your mother, your friends? Don't be in a hurry to find someone just for the sake of having someone, shop around, look for your best friend, best lover and your soul mate rolled into one...believe me a good man is worth looking for...you need to like the person as well as love them...you need to take time to get to know them...at 20 years old you have a long time to search for the person that will make you happy for the rest of your life...never settle for less than you deserve.

I get the SAME thing and I am 19. I hate it.
I have also never been in a long-term serious relationship and my friends and family are always asking, "why doesn't a beautiful and intelligent girl as yourself have a guy?"
It's like THANKS! It hurts my feelings and I get rather annoyed with it.
I am going to school and I am working and having a good time hanging out with friends, I don't see why if I don't have a boyfriend that there is something missing.
God has a plan for everything, including the right guy in your life. Just tell people that you haven't found any guy good enough yet and you aren't going to just settle for anyone to have a boyfriend.

hey im a 20 year old single guy my ex of 3 and a half years turned out to be a joke. im not a jerk at all when im with a girl i worship the ground they walk on and treat them like a princess. so in other words its ok to be single untill you find the right person.

I went through what you are going through after my daughter turned 4 years old....my parents, my brother, sister, friends kept asking me...you have been single for 4 years, what's up with that? When my daughter was born, i choose to be a single parent and raise her without any man involved...I did not start dating til she was 4 cause i was sick of everybody asking me so i went through a few bad seeds before i settled on the man i am currently with now.....i have been with him for 4 years almost and we now have a 11 month old son....20 years old is a time for having fun ...with your friends...in my experince there is plenty of time to find the right one and settled down....I did not find the right one til i was 30 years old so you have plenty of time....the people who are asking you are obviously jelous and wish they could be "free" like you...and not commited to someone on a daily basis...and i totally commend you for not settling for anything less.....trust me, i did and got pregnant with my daughter and left him and that is why i was single for over 4 years and there was not a damn thing wrong with it!!! When you find the right one, you will know and the timing will be just perfect but for now..... have fun!!!

People will ask regardless of your age, it is just curiosity. There is nothing wrong with you not having a boyfriend, you are young, have fun and enjoy life. Maybe if some of those people that are asking you are guys, that might mean they are interested.
But don't worry about it and have fun.

there is nothing wrong with being 20 and single. 20 to me would be the best time to be single. i didnt want to go out with all the *** holes and **** to.i didnt have a serios relatiionship for a long time because i wanted a really good guy. plus 20 is almost drinking age you dont want a bf to make you stay home and ****

Most people feel you need a guy to complete you.
If you are secure in yourself , independent and a self starter, you will take your time and not rush into anything.
Some people are very insecure and need to be with someone to make them feel important.
Obviously you are a okay and that is great.
it is nice to know in this day and age, there are strong and confident women around.

Nothing wrong. I think it is absolutely normal to wait until you find the one and only. Relationships with unsuitable guys have as a purpose to boast of it. Keep going like his somewhere sometime a perfect man willwait for you!
