Ok, here is the problem, I made my quartley insurance payment last month, via the internet, today I recieve a notice from erie insurance that my payment was not made, it is past due, and they may cancel my policy. I contacted them and they said that I never paid, but when I checked with my bank, they gave me the date when the insurance company took the money from my bank account. When I gave them my confermation number they say that it is not their number that it is my banks number and the problem lies within my bank and not them. Now while I am typing this the just called me and said they found my money, but that it is still my prblem that they could not find it. Has anyone had a problem with ERIE INSURANCE?

What really sucks is I have been with them for 20+ years, and I even have my homeowners with them. This is how they treat a loyel customer?

Tell them that if they had the money and didn't apply it to the proper account, it is THEIR problem. If they have charged you late fees, these should be refunded. If they give you problems, politely suggest that you take it to the insurance commissioner in your state. It might be handy to have his/her name before hand. Then they know you have done your homework and won't just roll over.

This seems odd for Erie. They have a good reputation. If your policy has not been canceled, they found the money and it's all straight then why is there any problem currently?
