Acording to the ANA and INA there are far less unwanted pregnancies, rapes and promiscuous behavior among nudists then the general public. Less experimentation, less "forbidden fruit" mentality etc etc. Nudity is NOT a sin. How come it is perceived to be?

There's also a lot less people to make these crimes too. I have to admit though that they are more open minded. BTW, since when was nudity a sin? If so, I'm sinning every time I take a shower, let alone other activities. No "Public Nudity" is a state law, but not necessarily a sin.

You have to admit though that people that really choose to live that lifestyle are calm and more open minded. If everyone could run around without clothes, many would perverse on the spot. Not to mention, it would make the "lustful nature" part of us come out more, to give us thoughts and ideas to do things (like lust after another that's already married) we normally wouldn't.

Although Sex is natural, and it's natural for humans to lust after it. Humans are also one only animal that takes pleasure in it, and that would make controlling our urges harder.

Honestly, I think the reason is the dirty minds of religious folks. They cannot help but associate simple nudity with sex, and sex is bad, therefore nudity is bad. This says a lot more about the mentality of those making the judgment than it does about nudists - After all, the whole point of nudism is that it's NON-sexual social nudity, otherwise we'd call it something else (orgyism, or something). If people can't understand or accept that, it's their problem.

I can't see why it should be a sin. Others have said that nudism encourages lust. This is only true because of morals that have been passed down over generations, encouraging us to stay clothed, this maintains a great deal of mystery about the naked body. People with an open mind realise that nudity doesn't necessarily have anything to do with sex.

People who are against nudity are the people that are afraid of what people will think an dare not secure with their body. It is a sin because people don't want to deal with it. Truthfully I believe it is very natural and very right but not everyone sees it that way. Lust is also what keeps our world going. Without lust there would be nothing left. Look up the 'Banobo' monkey. They are a type of monkey who's entire life is about sex and they are VERY happy monkeys.

Nudity of course is not a sin. There is not one word in Scripture that identifies it as such. Where sin enters, however, is in the eye of the beholder. The one who looks upon the nude may entertain lustful thoughts. These thoughts may be those of a married person. When that occurs, our Lord Jesus taught that such thoughts are sinful (see Matthew 5.28). St Paul teaches us to avoid putting a stumbling block, that is, something which could cause another to sin, before another. So while it may be fine to walk around the house in the nude, as I often do, to the dismay of my wife, it may and can pose problems for others in public, not to mention civil law.

Funny, I had the opportunity to use the word "voyeur" today. In fact it was in answer to a question about nudity.

I love synchronicity.

Anyway, although I have not conducted a study on the topic, it does seem to me that those who are more open about sexuality have fewer problems. Repression sucks with teeth.

I do not know for sure what you mean by 'natural' but I know God did not send us with a suite case full of clothes.
I am a Naturalist not a Nudist. I never wear clothes when possible. Our hair was our clothes in the beginning of time.

nudity is not listed as sin in Scipture. To add to the results you site I add this. As a sailor I noticed that being out of the sight of women (not being able to see tham) caused men to think and do things they did not and would not do if they had regular interactions with women.

Why would any god make his creatures procreate with sex if lust wasn't part of it? Lust, good or bad, is part of the sexual process, the propagation of the the species. "See that woman over there, she has huge breasts! All the better for carrying the nutritious milk my child will need to grow big and strong!" "See that guy over there? He is so big and strong, and our kids would be big and strong too!!! Let's get it on!!!" Yeah, I know, it's a tad basic, but that's the general idea behind sex: THE CONTINUATION OF THE SPECIES.

That is an amazing fact. Thank you for posting that! I personally like both. I feel very comfortable naked and have no problem looking at other nude people. It times of sex I do enjoy the voyeurism and at other times I can look at naked people and not feel any sexual drive at all. Hmmm...
