As long as they are in a warm, unstressful environment, they will do fine at a very early age. Woof!

Bathing - Your dog should have regular, but not frequent, baths, depending on the breed and coat of your dog. Too-frequent washing removes natural oils and causes the coat to become dry and harsh.
When necessary, use a mild shampoo formulated for dogs. Stand the dog in a tub or basin, and put cotton balls in his ears and a couple of drops of mineral oil in his eyes. Wet the dog with warm water and apply shampoo from the neck back. After lathering and scrubbing, rinse your dog thoroughly with warm water. Rub vigorously with a towel (he'll help you with vigorous shaking!), and then blow-dry if necessary. Comb or brush as required.

I haven't heard of an age restriction, but generally dogs don't need a bath regularily - only if they are smelly or dirty - too much bathing removes their natural oils that keep them dry in the rain. If your puppy is very young and not terribly dirty and you are worried about bathing him/her, why not use some cotton wool or cotton wool pads dipped in warm water and use that to wipe the pup, although this would probably only work on smooth coats. This will mimick the mom's bathing action.

It all depends on the bath you will give them you can get a rag that is just damp enough to wipe something off and wash the pup like that but if the pup is a few weeks to a month old you can give them a warm bath just make sure it's head stays above the water!

I started at 6 weeks and I am getting used to the idea. I'm 14 months old now and sit in the bath quietly once a month because I am used to it. Don't over bathe bu get your puppy used to it and use baby shampoo. The suds will not make his eyes red.

I have given baths to two week old pups after they have eaten.
I raised 6 puppies from birth and they had many baths cause there was no mama to keep them clean. Just keep them warm throughout the whole process.
Just use baby shampoo so you do not hurt their eyes.

i assume your dog is a puppy, i would bath him/her until 11 weeks, so he/she had their jabs, that way the shampoo wont sting. You must make sure it is warm and in this winter not to let him go outside until he is really dry and has been in the warm for a long time. Make sure you don't get your dogs ears wet, use a flannel to wash his face. You can get different shampoo's for flees, shiny coats, medicated, black dogs, you name it you can get it, i always use medicated shampoo, as i use frontline to prevent flees. Hope this helps, sorry didn't no if doggy is a girl or boy.

my brother's 10 week old Jack Russel had his first bath after he had his first lot of injections as he'd been rolling in the lawn for the first time, he got a bit wet and smelly so he had his first bath, he now smells like a wet dog instead of a nice little puppy, they've had him since he was six weeks old

I think it is 4 or 6 weeks....but only use dawn dish detergent (GREAT FOR FLEA PROBLEMS) or puppy shampoo til 8 weeks. My mother in law is a groomer at petco. My best friend works at my local shelter, and I vol. there every sat, and that is what we use on the kittens and puppies that are flea ridden or filthy. Do not use flea shampoo yet, they could ingest it and get VERY sick. Some dogs are even allergic to it which makes it 2x as bad. My mom in law (who grooms at petco) swears by teatree oil, great for there coat after puppy shampoo (read label on puppy shampoo they should have minimum age for useage on bottle or box) I have found the teatree oil also works wonders for the dander. Hope this helps, -me
