If they can pass all the same physical and psychological test that men can then I have no problem.

Being a woman in the military, I would of course would have to say I believe that women should be allowed to be in the military. One advantage would be that women and men proccess things differently and excel in different areas, which could be a definate plus. An disadvantage not being held to the same standards agravates quite a few males in the military. What really irks me is the fact that I cannot be in Special Forces or be in a Infantry Unit (even though I can support an infantry unit).

We can go undercover, we have the skill :)

The answer above me ^

Thast's exactly right, women say equality, but then say No I'm a woman when they are presented with something hard, well If you say you can do anything a man can do, then don't be mad when you are treated as such.

** But somethng my dad did bring to my attention. In the military if private John falls the rest will leave him there, Do whats best for the troop. But if a woman is in that same danger, they will try and save her, ( it's nothing wrong, just a man's insinct to protect the woman) And that can lead to a lot of troop downfalls.

But the army has been getting better at looking at women on the front the same as private john. It just takes time to work the bugs out of a major transition like this.

It's a two faced coin. I've seen some women in the forces who were fantastic. They could carry more weight than the guys, march harder and longer, Amazing shooting skills and calm and cool when the heat's turned up. However, I have seen those that know being an attractive woman in a field where the majority is men, they don't have to work as hard to get ahead. I have seen more than a few that had a career in mind and knew being 'friends' with superiors would get them there faster than working to earn it.

To those who work hard, they have to work extra hard to earn their place. They're judged and under allot of pressure to perform and allot of them do it very well. To those who take advantage of being a woman, I have issues but accept it knowing there's nothing that can be done about it. Why should men be the only ones to take advantage of a weak system?

Absolutely! As long as they want to. I don't think that we should force them into combat but if they choose to accept the risks then by all means more power to them. I've seen fellow male counterparts that I wouldn't want in combat. As long as the women can demonstrate the required standards there should be no problem. As far as advantages and disadvantages go if they are qualified and meet the standards then it wouldn't matter.

I have no problem with women in the military, I do feel that they should have to pass the same physical requirements how ever. It never made sense to me that they have a lower set of fitness requirements for the same job.

I grew up in the old school and automatically open doors for ladies. I'd do poorly in combat with females around me. The younger generation don't seem to be burdened with my handicaps. And I feel for the enemy if they have to face anybody like a certain ex-wife of mine. In non-combat roles, I don't see any real problems at all.

I think if they can pass the training and qualifications then they should be able to serve right along with anyone else.
