Ask a lot of questions, and make sure they are formed in such a way as to require an explanation for an answer and not just "yes" or "no." For instance, instead of asking "Do you like pizza?" ask, "What does a pizza have to have in order for you to think it's perfect?" Also, be curious - ask all sorts of questions, especially about her. If you are afraid she'll think you're nosey, preface it with "You don't need to answer this if you think it's too personal, but I was just wondering...." And then, equally as important, listen - really *listen* - to her answers! You will have a conversation going in no time.
Hope this helps - good luck!

There are 2 possibilities she can't speak to much due to character so get used to it and suggest other things like going to a cinema. Maybe she is too shy so make her feel comfortable with you, don't make fun or annotate her answers and try to encourage her speak. Good luck!

Try to find out what she likes then talk about that, if you can't then just ask her the basics (i.e. where ya from, what kind of music do you like) eventually she will begin to trust you and open up, hope this works for you ;)
