Raw sewage, pigs blood and a host of other things go ino these rivers unchecked. Waste water is supposed to be treated before it is discharged into rivers.

cause they lack government regulations and don't value human life. besides its more cheaper to dump in a river than dig a hole

i don't know about why the chinese do it but in india i think they go to the river,take a dip in it ,note that its dirty,say to their neighbour that the government should do something about it,walk away shaking their heads in disapproval and then come back next year and do the same thing all over again.maybe the chinese do it too or maybe its a little more complex there(probably a few more rituals in between).

What country was u raised in. I have traveled to many and most rivers are just open sewers. Those people are in control of there country ,it is not up to u.
