Try craigslist. If you dont know what that is, its like an ad in the newspaper except its free and online. You can also say however much you like and can put pictures of the rings on there. And if you do use E-bay make sure you put a min bid. Also you could try the local newspaper. I wouldn't recommend saying that it was a broken engagement since some people won't want the bad luck attached to the ring. Also you probably already know that you won't get what you ask for so put it for a little more than you would like to get for it. Sorry about the break up and good luck!

Three options:
1. Keep it for sometime, maybe you find your soulmate soon.
2. Try eBay; things like this take a decent time if your ratings are not that high.
3. Return it to the shop where you bought it. Here they will detuct upto 20% of the original bill amount.
What I recommend is.. keep the ornament... it wont reduce; but it will be used someday for the full value.

Depending on where you got it, you could take it back and replace it when you find that "special someone". Whatever you do, don't give your next fiancee' the ring intended for the first one. That ring was for someone else and has completely different meanings and feelings attatched to it. My boyfriend still has the ring he gave to his ex-fiancee'. He tells me if we were to get engaged he would take it back and exchange it, which is fine with me. There are two reasons I would never accept her ring. 1. It was intended for her, not for me. I don't want it. And 2. Even if I never knew it was for her, I wouldn't be able to take it anyway because the thing doesn't even fit on my little finger!!

Wait until you are ready to be engaged again and then trade it in on a ring for the next girl. Good Luck!

Ebay or just save it for later.
Ebay will help you get the most for your money but it's still going to be nothing compared to what you paid.

take it back to the place were you purchased it. Tell them your fiance died in a car accident and well you need money for the funeral. Im sure they are going to feel bad for you.
