I've heard it described that when you are with them you are not lonely anymore, even if you didn't know you were lonely without them. That was true for me I also felt very safe, and I was so overwhelmed with all the love I felt I was way in over my head.

There is a lot of overlap so don't just consider the differences. A crush can be the start of falling in love with someone. For a crush to go beyond just that you need to get to know the person for who they really are. If you know them as you know your close friends and still have strong feelings then you're more likely to be in love. If you spend time to get to know someone they are likely to be flattered by the attention and perhaps become interested in you. Maybe it's worth the risk of trying to get to know your "crush" better? Good luck and I hope things work out.

There is a HUGE HUGE difference!!!
Having a crush is like, "Oh, do they like me? I wonder..." It is where you obsess over someone, but you hardly know them or do not even know them at all. You stare at them, but you never ACT upon what you feel. Love is not a feeling. Love is an action! A crush is merely a feeling you feel in the presence of someone.
On the other hand, love is where you want to be with the person all the time. Love is where you feel like you know everything about them, and you feel like you know them better than they know themselves perhaps. You can see their good traits and bad ttraits and you still care for them. Also, you act on love by giving gifts, being there for the other in rough times and lifting them up, and being their number one fan when they are happy or successful!
That is the difference!

I believe that falling in love is a feeling of knowing without a doubt that both people feel this overwhelming need to be with each other, and to protect each other, A crush may be the begining of love but is usually one sided.

A crush is average and lasts a while, love is strong and lasts a long time, true love is indestructible and lasts forever.

first, you can fall in love with a person but it will never be sustainable until you know yourself. Love is when you would die for that person, when you see yourself being with that person everyday for the rest of your life. If you can see yourself living with that persons values and habits day in and day out.

Love is a much deeper emotion. It takes time to get there and it takes time to get out of it. Trust me, once you r in love, you will know because it's just so intense.
