I was watching a christian TV channel and the preacher kept saying "this lady sent us a cheque for 30 dollars and her son passed his exams, you need god to help you take out your cheques and send it to us, and we will pray for you"

No other group would blindly send money for nothing in return but the Christians. If I were a scam artist looking to make fast money, I might be a TV evangelist too.

That guy may be a scam artist....I tithe because God said one should. Tithing is supposed to be used to pay for the costs of running the church, caring for widows, orphans, the needy, ect. Not go into some corrupt preacher's pockets. Unffortunately, many claim to speak for God and are only seeking to make a quick buck. That's what the bible means regarding false prophets looking like the real thing.

This is a loaded question. Giving in faith that your giving will uplift the receiver is one thing. TV Programming costs a lot of money and someone has to pay the bills.

I am sure a gift in return for a check didn't help the sons studies but rather the ole noodle. Still I will not condemn the mothers belief her gift was a frivolous gift because in her heart she believes she received something special in return for her sacrifice... and who can comdem a mother for that?

There are some costs involved in organized religious, such as maintaining the place of worship, schemes for the poor and charity appeals and such like, but especially with Christian evangelist types, the vast majority of the money goes towards a vast media and lobbying machine to ensure there views are put forward above anyone else's.

i think of that many television preacher's look to have money as their final analysis as is shown with the aid of the automobiles they holiday around in and the valuables they stay in. authentic Christianity has not something to do with money making for terribly own benefit. Jesus is our occasion and he confirmed needless to say that riches have been a undertaking simply by fact they many times took God's place in men's hearts. right here interior the united kingdom we do not have television preachers that's probable a stable undertaking interior the easy of what I hear.

These so called preachers are really actors, and this is their stage. I guess they could not ''make it'' in the real theater.

This is how they make their living--off of the donations sent by gullible people. And, some have a very good living.

If they give you a reason like that, they are a con. TV preachers do need people to send money, but they just need to be honest about it and tell you that is how they stay on the air. If you give money to anyone or any chairty expecting God to do something for you because of it, it won't happen.

be careful what programs u watch on t.v...it is a very useful tool for the devil.... these people are trying to take money from you, you only give money to the church u attend...and why? because that pastor, that minister spends his whole week writing a message from God for you to hear....he could be a work doing some other job, but he's there because God wanted him there...what wud happen to the pastor and his family if no one put money into the collection plate? he and his family wud starve and die...no more messages......as for the t.v..its a very easy simple way to get money, just like when u see those sponsor a child things on t.v...some of those programs will take like 30- 60% of the money u send for that poor child, actually goes str8 to the fat cats who run the thing...you must be careful and find a non profit organization....just dont give out money to the t.v lol....p.s...give money to your church because it is your responsability as a child of God to help those in need that your church supports and gives hope to...for that...they are grateful to God...which reallt benefits you...and you will receive a reward in Heaven

Because they are using people's illness and fear to send false messages of hope to people. The price? Just a low low installment of cash.

All of the prophets that I can think of off the top of my head were all humble people (Or humbled by god himself)

Long story short, they ask for the money because its not a religon its a business to make millions.
