There are Dog Training courses all over.
Get a dog magazine and there will be adds.
Check out some of the sites on the net.
Put a dog through obedience classes, they teach you how to teach your dog.
There was a school here in NM that I went to. They specialized in aggression training of personal protection dogs, Police Dogs, Tracking, search & rescue, substance detection, building search, etc, but the owner moved away and is probably too old to teach anymore.
You can learn a lot on your own if you buy some books and follow the directions. But keep in mind that there are quite a few different approaches to training and every trainer has his own little tricks of the trade.

There are quite a few around. Just be careful who you deal with because there are also a lot of them that have no idea what they are doing. If you learn from one of them you will ruin alot of dogs in the future. There is a guy named Tom Rose that runs a great training school somewhere in Minessota I think. Google his name and find out if he is still around. Good luck.
PS There are also a couple of people in Europe that do this, if that is an option for you. That is where I got my start and I can highly reccomend them to you.
