I've often wondered if I could live like the Amish do, without the stress and hassles of modern day civilization. Of course, that life would also come without modern day creature comforts as well. In truth, I would like to give it a try, but I doubt that I would be able to economically support myself.
I like don's idea too.

None, because I do not fear global warming. I believe it is real but not dangerous to life; it is only dangerous to the economy. Also, we would need to do WAY more than just conserve a little. We would have to give up ALL burning of coal, oil and natural gas, which means no air travel at all, no cars that burn gasoline at all, no electricity generation from coal, oil or gas, which is 95% of all electricity. It would destroy the economy more surely than global warming. And even then there might be some warming from the carbon dioxide already in the air.
But I agree with The Naughty Scotsman completely. Sometimes I long for the simple life. The whole world would have to live like the Amish to really stop global warming from getting worse.

Plastic bags, first class air travel, heating over a certain temperature (use a jumper people!), non necessary air travel where alternative routes are available, plasma tv, personal car travel (public transport or car sharing instead) where feasible, commuting, permanently plugged in electronics, patio heaters, standby buttons, packaging (buy from a grocers), air con on demand, makeup, non-green laundry
Basically make it harder for people to get luxuries! (ie Air con only works if temp is over 27 degrees, lights switch off automatically, computers go to hibernate not standby, heating only works up to a certain temp, bags (recycled paper) only available if you cant carry your shopping/have no other bag), dishwashers and washing machines that only work if they're full)
