Buy raw shrimp to cook in the sauce that's the whole flavor of this dish.

While my pasta is cooking.

I lightly brown a 1/2 cup butter in a large skillet. Add fresh garlic, salt, white pepper and cracked red pepper or whatever you choose. Stir to mix well, then add all shrimp at one time and cover for 2 minutes, uncover stir and add cilantro or parsley.

A Squeeze of lemon or I prefer lime.

Pour over the hot pasta that has been tossed with EV olive oil and a bit of salt..

Fresh crusty rolls. Some good wine!!

Shrimp Primavera

It is quite tasty and really simple to assemble once you have your ingredients all together. In the recipe, I call for Shrimp Base. I use a product made by Minor’s. It’s optional but I recommend it in the recipe. I get mine at www.soupbase.com

Serves 2

Ingredients:

1/3 pound egg noodles
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon shrimp base, optional but recommended
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 stalks asparagus, cut in 1 inch lengths
1 each Roma tomato, diced
1 tablespoon red onions, small dice
2 tablespoons red bell peppers, cut into small strips
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons white wine
10 each shrimp, large, 16-20 count, peeled, de-veined and cut length wise
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon basil, chopped
1 teaspoon chives, chopped
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, grated
1 pinch pepper

Preparation:

Cook the noodles in lightly salted water until just al dente. Rinse under cool running water and set aside.

Combine the heavy cream, tomato paste and shrimp base in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to incorporate the paste and base. Be careful not to overheat, as it will boil over. Your object is to reduce this by half.

Once the sauce is reducing, heat your olive oil and butter in a sauté pan and add the asparagus, tomato, onion, red pepper and garlic and sauté for about 4 minutes, until the veggies are just under cooked. Add the wine and shrimp and cook for another 2 minutes, until shrimp are nearly done.

The sauce should be ready by now. Add it and the cooked pasta and blend the whole dish together. Combine the fresh herbs, Parmesan and pepper together. Decant the pasta dish onto two warm plates and top with herb cheese mixture.

Hi my name is Stacey, and the way I sometimes make my garlic sauce over my pasta is, I chop up a lot of fresh garlic, add to Olive Oil wait until garlic gets a little soft, and add some red pepper flakes, you can make it as spicy as you like, add to the Olive Oil and wait a little bit , and then add some Italian seasoning, and then wait until the garlic is soft, and then I add some 4c Bread crumbs in it, just a little to absorb the oil, and if you want you can also add some broccoli to it, or shrimps or both and then pour it over your pasta, and boy does it come out so awesome, but if you don't want all of that you can just make the sauce with the fresh garlic, red pepper flakes, and some Italian seasoning and some olive oil and the wait until the garlic gets soft and then pour it over your pasta that way. Bread Crumbs are optional that’s if you like it you add it , if you don’t like it don’t add it, and when everything is done you can sprinkle some grated Parmesean cheese all over your pasta dish and mix well with everything it comes out so delicious, Enjoy hope I was a help to you. Please e mail me at mswallyturnbuckle@yahoo.com and please let me now if you like this recipe Have a great day and Enjoy, I hope I helped you out.

Sautee some crushed garlic in olive oil .. when it starts to color (lightly) add the shrimp. When the shrimp begins to color add some chopped sun dried tomatoes and artichokes .. add a 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes and a splash of white wine. When the alcohol smell evaporates, add 2 tablespoons of butter .. toss in the cooked pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Serve it with some chilled pinot grigio, a tossed salad and some fresh crusty Italian bread.

Try shrimp fettuccine alfredo. Cook some peppers (as hot as you like) and onions with the shrimp. Put the fettuccine on the plate, then the peppers and shrimp, then cover with the alfredo sauce. Bueno!

Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients:
1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 chopped Onion
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Tabasco Sauce
1 Tbsp Garlic, chopped
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 cups Tomato, peeled and diced
2 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 cup Green Onions, chopped
3 cups Chicken Broth
1 lb Vermicelli or Linguini
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

Directions:
In a large pot, start cooking your pasta. Boil until tender. Meanwhile, in a non-stick fry pan, sauté the onion in the olive oil for approximately 4 minutes. Add the garlic and stir. Add thyme, cayenne and black peppers, and basil and cook at low heat for 5 more minutes. Add everything else except for the pasta, shrimp, and cheese, and cook over low heat for about one-half hour or until the liquid is reduced. In another fry pan, sauté the shrimp in some butter and garlic until three-quarters cooked (pink, but not totally opaque). Add the onion and garlic mixture and cook for an additional two minutes. Set aside a cooked shrimp for garnish. Now add the cooked pasta and toss well with the grated cheese. Serve hot in large shallow bowls or on stylish plates. Place your extra shrimp on top of each serving and sprinkle a few green onion slices(the green part) on top of that. Serve shrimp pasta with toasted garlic bread.

Shrimp and pasta:
ingrediants:
1/4 cup olive oil
1 lb peeled and deveined large shrimp (raw; 20 to 25 per lb)
4 large garlic cloves, left unpeeled and forced through a garlic press
1/2 teaspoon dried hot red-pepper flakes
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 lb capellini (angel-hair pasta)
1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley

Bring a 6- to 8-quart pot of salted water to a boil.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a 12-inch heavy skillet over moderately high heat until hot but not smoking, then sauté shrimp, turning over once, until just cooked through, about 2 minutes, and transfer with a slotted spoon to a large bowl. Add garlic to oil remaining in skillet along with red pepper flakes, wine, salt, and pepper and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, 1 minute. Add butter to skillet, stirring until melted, and stir in shrimp. Remove skillet from heat.

Cook pasta in boiling water until just tender, about 3 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta-cooking water, then drain pasta in a colander. Toss pasta well with shrimp mixture and parsley in large bowl, adding some of reserved cooking water if necessary to keep moist.

1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 cups half-and-half
1/4 cup fresh basil, minced or 1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

1. Have pasta ready.
2. In lg skillet, heat butter; add shrimp and garlic.
3. Saute 4 minutes, remove shrimp from skillet.
4. Add half and half.
