With the use of TobraDex your eyes should clear in in a day or two.

You need to get drops from your doctor. Some need to be used for 7 days, some as little as 2-3 days. It really depends on what your insurance company will pay for. Usually it clears up in a couple of days with treatment, but you will need to continue the treatment to ensure that you get rid of it permanently or it will keep coming back. In the meantime, don't touch your eye. If you do, wash your hands thoroughly and use antibacterial gel. It's really contagious.

With the right medication in about 2 days. Go to your doctor and get some eye drops that are just for pink eye/conjuctavitis. You'll see a difference is a few days.

First you should go to the doctor and get a prescription for eye drops. You are only contagious for the first 24 hours after you start using them. It will feel better after the first day but it will take about 5-7 days for it to go away. Good luck...pink eye sucks!

You need to go see a doctor. It'll do away on it's own, but it can cause some serious infections and spread to your other eye AND other people if you aren't careful.

It will take a 5 minute doctor visit to get eye drops. Totally worth it.

your pink eye could be viral, bacterial or a result of allergies. it would be best if you went to the doctor so that they could prescribe the proper treatment, and it would heal fast.
if you are not taking any medications, it could take about a week. make sure that you do not rub the eye, that you wash your hands often, and that you apply a cool compress to the eye daily, at least twice a day.

I got pink eye (in my left eye) the day after Christmas. What a coincidence?! Anyway, mine took a little longer than people are saying to clear up. Mine took about 8 days before I had no pain left. It's crappy, I know!!!

Feel better soon!!!

I don't know how long it takes to go away, but did you go to the doctor? It takes medication to clear up and is highly contagious. Keep you hands away from your face and try not to touch others until it is healed. Good luck with that!!!

I highly recommend going to the Dr. to get some medicated eye drops.... that will relieve you of most of the symptoms, make it less contagious, and make it go away faster!!! It is possible for you to transfer it to your other eye if you do not start on medication.
