I was washing some clothes last night and found a heart charm necklace with my name written inside. I asked my girlfriend if it was hers but before I could tell her it had my name inside she said its my roommates. My mind when blank at this point and I didnt know what to think. In fact I still dont know what to do. My roommate and girlfriend get along very well and I know something like this would make things very uneasy. So I didnt tell my girlfriend. Should I just put it back in her room without a word and hope my girlfriend doesnt said anything about me finding it?

First, ask the room mate because it might not be you. The reason I say this is because your name on here is Dantheman which shows the slightest possibility that your name might be Dan. If that's the case, it's an awfully common name and she might be seeing one herself. If she isn't seeing someone with your name and does have a crush on you I would suggest asking her to leave it at that and no more carving your name in anything and to burn the secret shrine she probably has of you tucked away in her walk in closet. Next, inform your girlfriend of your room mates feelings and ask her how comfortable she is with it. If she lives with you and is very uncomfortable with the situation (or if you are or both) I would suggest moving. If she has her own pad, see how she feels about you staying with her. Honestly, as long as she is not crawling in bed with you because the nights are cold and her blanket isn't cutting it, be a grown up about it, accept the fact people do have feelings sometimes out of their control, and just let it be.

but maybe it's not you he is referring to.
Yes better don't let your girlfriend know anything about it just to be on the safe side.
And forget about it.And make sure you don't flirt
with your roommate misleading her that you like her too.So nobody gets hurt.Make your actions loud and clear so your roommate won't expect
something more or something else and be disappointed.

Well it might be helpful if you were upfront with your friend and let her know what happened, I am sure you found by mistake, and if she is has not noticed it by now then put it back if you feel comfortable doing so, or return it to her when you will she her. She will be glad that you did, even if she is a little upset. Most people would rather they have honesty then someone lie to them behind their backs.

Just cause it has your name in it does not mean its about you. She could have had a past love with your name that gave her the locket. Dont be jumping to conclusions.
