i have a 9 month old rhdesian ridgeback pupy whose muzzle's been going gray for the last three months

there is an early greying gene in many breeds.... can start that young

What makes you think this is not natural. A new trait has to start somewhere .Perhaps your puppy has begun a new trait that will catch on????I hope you are not thinking at this point that the Breeder knew this before hand.There is no way if you did your homework and saw parents,premises,and all was well.It is in the genes maybe way back???Is it ugly or pretty why does this mater I would not care if my pet turned purple I would love him anyway .I hope you do.Good Luck

Just like people, sometimes the hair runs out of pigmentation prematurely.

I had an aunt who was completely grey by 22. Seriously. It's just nature.

Same happened to my chocolate cocker spaniel. He "silvered" (as they call it) by the time he was 6 months old. It just happens. Now I always get compliments on his "color" because he is so unique looking.

the dog is losing pigment in the hair follicles just like when people go grey
