i booked a flight but did not go as the card i paid with was not in my name how do i get the money refunded in

First you need to call the airline and find out if you are entitled to a refund.

If you are they will process the money back onto the card it was taken from.

You will then have to get your money back from the person named on the card.

most times airlines dont refund fares unless you buy a refundable ticket. Even then, you have to cancel before the flight. If the flight is gone, so is your money. It doesnt matter if you were not on it. If you buy Super Bowl tickets & dont go, you cant call them up the next week & want a refund. It just doesnt work that way. You just pretty much screwed the person you stole the card from unless you pay them back.

Refunds for flights usually arent given after the fact; if you missed the flight you missed the flight. Did someone else go on the flight? Was it a debit card that you used that belonged to someone else (with their permission of course) and you gave them the money? If that is the case, and the flight was purchased and never taken its likely that you just have to eat what you paid. Contact the airlines and ask if its possible to get a refund for a flight that you didnt take.

You don't. If you buy tickets to something and don't go, there is no refund in 90+% ocf cases.

Even if there were a refund? It would go to the person who is named on the credit card that you used not to you.

I think you'll have to come clean on this one. The card holder will be the one to hopefully get their money back.
One has to have travel insurance and good reason for canceling . I doubt you can handle this on your own. Go to someone you trust or fess up to card owner.

Have the card owner ask for their refund. They wont give it to you if your name dont jive with the card.
