You may have torn cartalage (sos) in your knees. See a Dr. They may give you Cordisone shots or do a knee arthroscopy. Either way it will help.
You should also Ice them down The bag of peas is a great idea. Bt don't eat the peas when you are done.LOL

I'm not insinuating that you are over-weight, but if you are on the heavy side that is the first thing a doctor is going to tell you.
I'm a large guy with bad knees, and even though my knee troubles are from old sports injuries, they won't do anything for me until Ioose some weight.

You may have restless leg syndrome. I dont know really know much about the syndrome but i have heard that it keeps people from sleeping at night and that's it's quite painful. You may also need calcium. I know that sometimes my knees cramp up at night and i take calcium the next day and then i'm good for awhile.

Have you tried any over the counter pain relievers, such as Motrin (ibuprofen) or Tylenol (acetaminophen)? For joint pain such as this, Motrin should help. Depending on how long this has been going on, if it has been happening for a while, I would definitely see a doctor. The Motrin should help with the pain, but if it doesn't, your doctor can give you something stronger.

See the doctor. Try icing with a bag of frozen peas. Advil might help too.
