It's hard to use the bus in our city as you have to walk 4 or 5 blocks to a bus stop and then wait out in the cold for a while. They only run every 1/2 hour here.

It makes the city very busy and overcrowded. Certain times of the day end up in traffic jams. Taking the bus saves gas and reduces air pollution and is a very effective way to travel and in some city's like larger ones such as new york, are sometimes the only choice besides a cab.

Our city, Albuquerque, is so spread out that it is hard to take the bus or any transportation system. On a normal day durring rush hour it takes me 30min to get to work, and 45min to get home. If I go home for lunch however, the commute only takes me 15min.

It takes me 20 minutes to get to our freeways. Also, our bus system is stupid. I could take the bus to the mall which is a 5 minute drive, and it would take me half an hour. There isn't even a bus route from my house to my work.

We recently established a train which is supposed to ease the commute to work and help people get to places faster. It runs north to south and then you can get on a bus to go where your going. If I where to take the train to work I would have to drive 15minutes, park at the train station, take the shuttle to work and it would take 30 more minutes (when the train station is 5 minutes away).

So I guess to anwer your question...urbanization sucks for traffic!
