That's for me to know and for everyone else NOT to find out.
Had to get the obvious answer out of the way there. :-)

I used to lock mine around a jealous ex, and I had nothing to hide. He would snoop through my phone and delete numbers of other guys- even if the numbers belonged to family members or coworkers. It was irritating. He'd read all my text messages, and find SOMETHING about them that could possibly denote cheating- even though I was innocent (for example- my friend Christine, who is in my phone as 'chris', asked if i wanted to hang out, and jokingly called me beautiful or sexy or something like that. My ex flipped.) So I locked my phone and my laptop. He got over it, right up until i dumped him.
Its just a matter of respect- if your snooping through a phone, that person has the right to lock it, no matter what it contains. And you have no right to demand to see it- absolutely no right. Its a matter of trust, and a serious invasion of privacy. It dosen't matter if your dating someone- that person still has the right to a private life.
Would you read someone's unopened mail? Would you rebuke someone for putting a password on an e-mail account? If someone dosen't allow you full access into all their private correspondance, would you get angry? No, probally not. Locking a phone is the same thing. And would you let someone read all of your e-mail and everything on your phone? Probally not...

I lock my phone because it is MINE. If someone ask me to see it I have no problem with it, but some people are noisy and they look through my text messages and my husband and I text each naughty messages all the time and no one else needs to see it. I also lock my phone because I once had someone use my phone without my permission and the person called back harassing me later.

I really don't have not 1 thing that I'm hiding from anyone. I guess it's because I'm so forward with anyone and everyone because I basically all my life have never cared about what other people thought about me, I don't mince words when I need to say something to someone, I'm aggressive, assertive, bubbly and I am really one of those people who just don't give a damn whether people like what I say or not. Did I write that I was bubbly! LOL!

Privacy! Everyone has the right to it. What business do you have nosing in someone else's phone? You are clearly a suspicious, jealous person with trust issues.

I lock my phone so that it doesn't accidently call someone when it gets bumped since I carry it in my pocket.
I have nothing to hide and would be happy to prove it to my wife if asked.

That depends - I lock my phone but my partner knows the code. Other than him it is to keep snoopers away.
