It is my first time attending the Daytona 500 and I'm wondering if anyone who has gone can give me information on the cost of items inside the race track? Specifically, Food and beverage price ranges. Also, any tips on parking or avoiding hassles would be appreciated. I have found a lot of "official" information but I'm sure nothing beats first hand experience. Thanks!

i can tell you that a beer is 5.50 a drink. for an extra 2.99, you can get a commemorative cup also. the drink refills may be a little cheaper then... but as previously mentioned, bringing your own cooler is definately the way to go .. enjoy it i will be working that day so have fun for all us and make sure that you visit DaytonaUSA... there is all sorts of cool things to do and soooooooo much information about racing past and present

Never been to Daytona for the 500, but I've been to the Shootout since 2002 annually. Already bought my tickets for 2009. Must things to see: If you are going to be there early (like days early) go to the FanZone. It's really cool. On the less crowded days like the regular days with only practice and qualifying, the FanZone tickets are only like $20. I would say also that you gotta go into the Daytona 500 experience, but I've not been there so I couldn't tell you. Just tour the freebie trailers outside of turn 4, get all the free stuff you can, and then wander FanZone.

The prices are the prices, shop during the bush race so on race day you can be hands free. Do the cooler thing and take snacks. But really, if you got tickets, spend the money cuz you will have the best time ever!!!!! There is a back way to track and you can park on the back side without paying to park and grill relax and met more nascar fans. Get a map, there is a way to get there without the major traffic, it's thru a neighbor hood. I'm jealous, it's a blast you"ll love it !!!! Have fun, got a extra ticket?????

Inside the track, I do not have current info. DO NOT stay at the old motels on the beach, go out toward the track and I-95, find a new Hampton Inn or something like that.

I have been to the pepsi 400 twice. concessions are about like any other sports venue. however last I checked you could take a small cooler in with you. Parking depends on how early you get there, and where you are going to sit ( front stretch or back)

If you use the designated NASCAR parking spots, it's free, otherwise about $25-$30. Don't buy any concessions because you can bring a cooler inside and you can put beer, food, liquor or whatever else you want (no glass though). So unless you want to pay outrageous prices for concessions, BRING YOUR OWN COOLER!!!!!!!!. I CAN'T EMPHASIZE THAT ENOUGH!!!!!!
