Concussion, or mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) occurs when the brain shifts violently in the skull because of a blow to the head, neck or upper body. Concussions mean different things to different people: some symptoms are headache, neckache, backache, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty concentrating or problems doing certain types of activities such as reading, irritability, anxiety, depression. Sometimes also amnesia, sensitive to light, reduced motor skills and difficulties to sleep.
A person who suffer mild concussions can have memory problems and other neurological difficulties up to a week after the injury. Tests of memory, reaction time and other responses showed that the brain may not have recovered, in this time.
You should ask your doctor or trainer about this matter.
