You can now fill out your form online with the Identity and Passport Service (IPS) using the following link: https://www.passport.gov.uk/Epa1d/(pzvrgubdgdbjqmnx0zljns55)/index.aspx
The IPS prints it off and posts it to you for you to add photos, signatures and fees, and return it (I did it by return of post) and mine only took a week to come back! Try to do it off season (ie. not during peak holiday times) and in plenty of time before you travel to allow for hiccups.

Generally, even using the regular forms from the Post Office, it takes two to three weeks unless there's a problem with your application. I wouldn't bother paying the extra for the check and send service. It's not really any quicker and if you do make a mistake, but have done it in plenty of time, it's not a big deal to correct and send back.

neglect approximately any six month rule. some international locations do require a passport of a customer to proceed to be valid previous a proposed stay, in some circumstances by potential of six months, yet there is not any everyday rule. in spite of everything, that purely applies to foreigners; you're neither a foreigner interior the U. S. nor in Australia. you're purely meant to have a valid Australian passport whilst coming into or exiting Australia and a valid US passport whilst coming into or exiting the U. S.. you need to use any of you passports till the day it expires. it is attainable to resume your Australian passport interior the U. S., yet often it may be swifter and extra straightforward to try this throughout the time of Australia. in case you intend to shuttle in a month you are able to desire to have a number of time to resume your passport in the previous you go. As an person Australian passport is valid for ten years and additionally you do no longer understand how lengthy you would be interior the U. S. it style of feels useful to resume it now.

At this time of year it should take about 2 weeks. In the summer it can take up to a month. If you do the express service via the post office it can be a week.

I think roughly 2-3 weeks. However petty france in london has now got a great system in place. You book an appointment take all necessary documents and can normally collect the next day. Please bear in mind this is for emergencies only. If you've got a holiday booked, then put copies of all your relevent travel docuements and this should rush the process. Good luck!

Anything from two weeks to three months.

Watch the fees -- check them online. Some Post Offices are giving out application forms which are out of date.

You can use the "check and send" service which should take 2 weeks but can take longer if they are busy. You can do this at the post office but they will charge you, I think it is £7 per passport.
If you just post it as normal it should take 3 weeks but again can be longer if they are busy. (My sister got hers back within 2 weeks though!)

About 2-3 months. Mine hasn't arrived yet so I'm pretty sure of it to happen at this time.
